Effective 24 October 2026. Story Foolery (storyfoolery.com) is run by Terra Virgo Corporation, a California
corporation. This page says what we collect, why, and who helps us run the service.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password.
We never see or keep your password itself.
- Tickets: which shows you bought tickets for and what you paid. Card details go straight to
Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Playing in a show: if you join by scanning a character's QR code, you do not need an account.
Your phone gets a random session id so it can show your character's lines; nothing else about you is kept.
- Show leaders: the characters, stories, biographies and venue photos you add, and your payout
account with Stripe Connect if you sell tickets.
How we use it
- To sign you in, sell and check tickets, run shows, and pay show leaders.
- To email you a password-reset link when you ask for one.
- We count how often features are used, in aggregate, to decide what to improve. These counts are totals
(for example "shows started this week"), not a record of what any one person did.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising or tracking services.
Who helps us run it
- Anthropic (Claude) writes the characters' lines, thoughts and stories. ElevenLabs
turns them into voices. OpenAI draws character portraits. What a show leader adds (biographies,
venue descriptions and photos) is sent to these services to build the characters and stories.
- Stripe takes payments and pays show leaders.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-ups and password resets come from a person, not a bot.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the site and stores its data in the United States.
- Google (Gmail) sends our password-reset emails.
Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. Cloudflare's human check may set its own cookie on the sign-up and
password-reset pages.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
To see, correct or delete your information, email brad@storyfoolery.com.
California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we honour them for everyone.
Children
Story Foolery is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
